Managed Browser Session Infrastructure

Managed Browser Session Infrastructure

An API that provides isolated, pre-warmed Playwright browser sessions with live human takeover, so automations don't each manage their own browser.

Problem / Challenge

Automations need isolated browser sessions that a person can take over, without every bot maintaining its own fragile browser setup.

Solution

An API creates Playwright sessions from a warm pool, Redis tracks each session's state, and clients connect over WebSocket, the Chrome DevTools Protocol or VNC for automation or human takeover. Sessions time out and are recycled. The service is packaged with Docker; Kubernetes is listed in the source.

How it works

  • API request
  • session from warm pool
  • state tracked in Redis
  • connect via WebSocket/CDP/VNC
  • automation or human takeover
  • timeout and recycle

About this project

This project is from the professional portfolio of Muhammad Umer, Founder & CEO of EaseWorkflow. It is shown as an example of his automation work, not as an EaseWorkflow client engagement. Client and identifying details have been removed.

Results / Outcome

  • Designed to give automations reusable, isolated browser sessions instead of each bot maintaining its own browser setup.
  • Supports human takeover of a session.
