University Course Catalogue Data Collection

University Course Catalogue Data Collection

Collects course listings from university websites into a structured table, with AI-assisted location tagging.

Problem / Challenge

Course catalogues needed to be gathered into a structured list of titles, institutions, grade requirements, dates and URLs.

Solution

A Selenium-based collector opens the course listing pages on UK university websites and gathers the course links. It extracts the details from each course page, uses the OpenAI API to fill in location fields (including whether a course is in London), and writes the results to a table.

How it works

  • Open the course listing page
  • Collect course links
  • Extract each course page
  • Fill location fields with AI
  • Write the table

About this project

This project is from the professional portfolio of Muhammad Umer, Founder & CEO of EaseWorkflow. It is shown as an example of his automation work, not as an EaseWorkflow client engagement. Client and identifying details have been removed.

Results / Outcome

  • Designed to build a course database faster than copying from university sites by hand.
